ICAI CA Foundation Paper 1 Exam on Dec 8 Postponed; Check New Date

ICAI has postponed the CA Foundation Paper 1 Exam scheduled for December 8 to December 13 due to unavoidable circumstances.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has postponed the CA Foundation Paper 1 Exam scheduled for December 8 to December 13. The official statement released by ICAI reads: “It is notified for general information that due to unavoidable circumstances the Chartered Accountants Foundation Examination, Paper - I, Principles and Practice of Accounting scheduled to be held on December 8, 2020 from 2 PM to 5 PM stands rescheduled. The aforementioned examination shall now be held on December 13, 2020 at the same venue and timings i.e., 2 PM to 5 PM (IST).”

ICAI CA admit cards already issued would remain valid for the rescheduled exam. The exam schedule of rest of the papers remain unchanged.

In the wake of COVID-19 pandemic and related difficulties, ICAI offered ‘opt out’ option to students who do not wish to appear for the exam this month. About 31,000 students opted out of November exams. They can take the exam in January 2021. ICAI CA exams 2021 will commence from January 21 in all cities.
