ICSI issues advisory

Responding to the tweets, ICSI has issued important advisory. The advisory reads, “As you are aware that after due consideration of the prevalent situation and subsequent lockdown, due to outbreak of Covid-19 Pandemic, the Institute of the Company Secretaries of India (Institute) has postponed its Examinations (June - 2020 Session) of Foundation, Executive and Professional Programme and Post Membership Qualification (PMQ). Originally, the exam was scheduled to be held from June 1 to 10, 2020, now, it will commence from July 6 onwards.”

“It is noticed by the Institute that few members and students of the Institute are posting and circulating videos and messages on social media platforms asking for cancellation/postponement of exams. This is to demotivate the sincere students, divert their attention from studies and to further instigate and provoke the members, students, teachers and the parents of the students against the Institute and seems as an attempt to malign the image of the Institute,” the notice further reads.

“Posting and circulating these kinds of messages and videos amounts to professional misconduct and the members and students doing so are subject to disciplinary action,” reads the further notice.
