ICSI CS 2020 June exam has been postponed again. The exam has been merged with December 2020 session. The exam for all programmes will begin from December 21, 2020. 

ICSI CS June 2020

The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has again postponed ICSI CS June 2020 exam. The exam has now been merged with ICSI CS 2020 December session. The decision to merge CS June 2020 exam has been taken by ICSI due to COVID-19 pandemic. ICSI CS exam for the professional programme will be conducted on December 21, 22, 23, 24, 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30. The Executive programme will be conducted on December 21, 22, 23, 24, 26, 27, 28 and 29. The Foundation programme of ICSI CS June 2020 exam will be conducted from December 26 and 27Decision on CSEET exam dates 2020 will be taken soon.

This is the fourth time in a row that ICSI has postponed CS June 2020 exam. Initially, the exam was conducted from June 1 to 10. However, it was rescheduled to July 6 to 16. The exam was further rescheduled to August 18 to 28, 2020.

What official notice says?

The official notice reads, “The lCSl is continuously viewing the situation prevailing due to Covid 19 pandemic and took cognizance of the situation being faced by the Students/candidates from the time to time. Due to the prevailing situation coupled with lockdown, containment zones and prohibitions in many districts in various States have further aggravated the smooth conduct of the lCSl Examinations.”

“Accordingly, with a view to protect the interest of all the stakeholders and in particular candidates and their well-being, ICSI has decided to merge the June, 2020 session with the December 2020 examination,” the notice further reads.

Important points to note

  • Candidates who have already submitted CS June application form 2020 are not required to apply again for December 2020 exam.
  • Candidates can make changes in the exam centre, module or medium of exam without fee payment from July 26 to November 20, 2020 for appearing in CS December 2020 exam.
  • Students who had submitted examination form for June 2020 session will be allowed all benefits such as payment of fee and subject-wise exemptions for lCSl exam to be held in December 2020.
  • Students who have submitted exam form for June 2020 session are allowed to add their modules by paying the fees to be held in December session with the above mentioned period.
  • Candidates who have not enrolled in ICSI CS June 2020 session may enrol themselves by submitting the fees from July 26 to 25 September 2020 (without late fees) and till October 9 (with late fees).
  • The students of Executive Programme (old syllabus) and professional programme (old syllabus) are given the opportunity to appear in the examination to be held in December 2020 as per their old Syllabus.
