ICSI CS Professional syllabus switchover from old syllabus (2017) to new syllabus (2022) window is active. Candidates already registered for CS professional programme can apply for switchover. The first examination date under new syllabus (2022) will be held in June 2024. Check the completed details for syllabus switchover here.

ICSI CS Professional Syllabus

The Institute of Company Secretaries of India has activated the link for ICSI CS Professional 2024 syllabus switchover from the old syllabus (under 2017) to the new syllabus (under 2022). Candidates desiring to switchover from old syllabus to new syllabus are advised to go through the CS Professional new syllabus before commencing with the preparations.

Candidates can apply for the switch over under ICSI CS Professional new syllabus (2022) online at icsi.edu. The first examination under the new syllabus will be held in June 2024. The reverse switchover will not be permitted. Candidates applying for switchover to new syllabus will have to compulsorily appear for a CS Professional Pre-Examination Test to become eligible, for enrolling in the main examinations.

ICSI CS Professional Syllabus: Paper-Wise Exemption 

The corresponding paper-wise exemptions applicable to Old Syllabus (under 2017) Students Switching over to New Syllabus (under 2022) is as under:

435- Corporate Restructuring, Insolvency, Liquidation &Windingup (Module 2)

536- Corporate Restructuring, Valuation & Insolvency (Group 2)

436- Resolution of Corporate Disputes, Non- Compliances & Remedies (Module 2)

No Exemption

437- Corporate Funding & Listings in Stock Exchanges (Module 3)

535- Strategic Management and Corporate Finance (Group 2)

438- Multidisciplinary Case Studies (Module 3)

No Exemption

How to Switchover from ICSI CS Professional Old Syllabus (2017) to New Syllabus (2022)?

Step 1- Visit the link provided- icsi.edu

Step 2- Now click on the ‘online services’ tab

Step 3- Now click on “Student Portal"

Step 4- Now click on Module>Switch over>Apply for switchover

Step 5- Student request screen will appear

Step 6- Enter the details prescribed

Step 7- Confirm the details entered

Important Note for switchover:

  • Students will not be required to pay any charges for the switchover to the new syllabus under 2022.
  • Study material for 2022 new syllabus has to be purchased by the students from the centre.
  • Candidates have to appear for the pre-examination test to become eligible to appear for new syllabus under 2022.
