CMA Registration 2022

The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI) is closing the CMA registration window today, February 25. ICAI conducts the term exams for three courses namely Foundation, Intermediate and Final. The registration window for all three courses under June 2022 term is closing today. Candidates must fill out the CMA application form for the relevant course to appear for the exam in June. The June term registration typically closes on January 31 of the exam year. However, this year the registration deadline has been extended twice. The initial extension was recorded until February 10, which later got extended to February 25.

ICAI will soon notify the CMA exam dates for Foundation, Intermediate and Final courses.

CMA Subjects

Candidates need to take as many as 20 papers to get the CMA charter. Four papers from the Foundation course and eight papers each from Intermediate and Final courses lead to the award of the CMA charter. CMA subjects under each course are as follows:

Foundation Course

  • Fundamentals of Economics And Management
  • Fundamentals of Laws and Ethics
  • Fundamentals of Accounting
  • Fundamentals of Business Mathematics and Statistics

Intermediate Course

Group I:

  • Financial Accounting
  • Direct Taxation
  • Laws and Ethics
  • Cost Accounting

Group II:

  • Operations Management & Strategic Management
  • Indirect Taxation
  • Cost & Management Accounting and Financial Management
  • Company Accounts & Audit

Final Course

Group I:

  • Corporate Laws & Compliance
  • Strategic Cost Management – Decision Making
  • Strategic Financial Management
  • Direct Tax Laws and International Taxation

Group II:

  • Indirect Tax Laws and Practice
  • Corporate Financial Reporting
  • Strategic Performance Management and Business Valuation
  • Cost and Management Audit

Candidates can prepare for the CMA exam via self-study or with the help of coaching. Candidates can also enrol in classes for CMA preparation.
