AIIMS Bhopal to organise V-International School of Oncology (ISO) in August 2022

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Bhopal will organise a five days course V-International School of Oncology (ISO) from August 1 to August 5. The course fee is INR 6000. The candidates who have applied for the course must know that the selected candidates would be informed through email by July 10.

The eligibility requirement is the candidate must be an MBBS student (III semester to internship), and the application should be accompanied by an Oncology Related Project meeting either of the following tracks criteria - Track A: Abstract of small oncology-related project work. Track B: An innovative oncology-related research idea/hypothesis and how the applicant proposes to approach it. Only 25 applicants would be selected by a Jury of AIIMS Bhopal faculty on the basis of their project. The presentation of either track should have a maximum of 10 PowerPoint slides and the maximum time allotted will be 5 minutes for presentation and 2 minutes for interaction. Prizes would be awarded for the 3 best presentations.

Course Details

The five days duration course will cover one cancer in each session in an interactive and integrated fashion. The focus would be student centric and practical-oriented. Lectures on general oncology i.e. cancer biology, preventive oncology, epidemiology, pain management, palliative care, etc would prefix or suffix every session. Two evenings would have social programs and events, stated the AIIMS Bhopal notification.
