AKTU students flood Twitter with #aktuOnlineExam to put forth demand
AKTU exams are beginning on December 28 in the offline mode. Candidates can apply and pay fee by December 16.
Even though Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow, has announced that regular and carry-over examinations of odd semesters will be held from December 28, 2021, in the offline mode, a large section of students are demanding the university to either postpone exams or conduct them in online mode in view of the Omicron variant of Coronavirus surfacing in various states of the country.
Students fear the contagion and are urging authorities to conduct online exams. They took to Twitter to express their concerns regarding the conduction of AKTU exams in offline mode amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
One user tweeted, “Omicron is threat for the whole world but our university does not care about it as they are conducting offline exams irrespective of the fact that students can get infected i request CM @myogioffice and @74_alok to please suggest AKTU to conduct online exams..,” while another wrote, “All universities conduct exams in online mode on the behalf of Omicron virus cases but why Aktu not conduct exams in online mode. Do not put children in danger of Omicron virus, because the number of viruses is increasing day by day. conduct exams in online mode. #aktuOnlineExam.”

As per the official notification, AKTU odd semester 2021 application form was made available from December 2, 2021. Candidates can apply and pay fee by December 16, 2021. Also, the exams of first year and lateral entry students will begin from the last week of February 2022. For detailed information, candidates are advised to visit the official website of the university, aktu.ac.in.
