Amrita University achieves 95% BTech placement

The maximum pay package offered to BTech students at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham stands at INR 56.95 lakh per annum.

Almost 95 per cent BTech students of the 2022 batch at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham have been placed through campus recruitment drive. The highest salary package offered is INR 56.95 lakh per annum. As per the official website of the university, over 200 companies participated in the placement drive for BTech students at Amrita University.  

Amrita University awarded A++ NAAC grade

The university has bagged the A++ accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), the national body that assesses higher education institutions in India. In 2021, it was ranked the fifth best Indian university in the NIRF rankings.  

In order to get admission in BTech programmes at Amrita University, the candidate needs to have a valid score in the Amrita Engineering Entrance Examination (AEEE) 2022. Apart from AEEE 2022, the university also accepts scores of JEE Main 2022, Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT), or Pearson Undergraduate Entrance Exam (PUEE). For AEEE – Engineering 2022 centre-based test, the university is following the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains format. 

AEEE 2022 will be conducted in two phases in May and June 2022 on four campuses of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham located at Amritapuri (Kerala), Bengaluru, Chennai, and Coimbatore. Candidates planning to take AEEE should be born on or after July 1, 2000. They should have cleared Class XII or equivalent while securing an aggregate of 60 per cent marks in mathematics, physics and chemistry with not less than 55 per cent marks in each of these three subjects.  

As per the university website, 25 per cent seats are reserved for the candidates with valid JEE Main 2022 score, 3 per cent seats are reserved for the candidates with valid SATII score and 2 per cent seats are reserved for candidates with valid PUEE score. Candidates with valid scores from 2020 onward are accepted.
