Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy reviewed kit bags to be distributed to the government school students to ensure that the quality of products is not compromised.

The Andhra Pradesh Government under the 'Jagananna Vidya Kanuka' scheme which aims to face-lift the government schools in the state, will be distributing kit bags to students with all school essentials. The school-essential kits include bags, books, notebooks, shoes, socks, and uniforms. These are to be distributed among every school-going student in the state. The kit was personally checked by the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Jagan Mohan Reddy. He also said that there should not be any compromise in the quality of school essentials provided to the students under the government scheme.

The Chief Minister also mentioned the idea of incorporating coaching for competitive exams along with providing financial assistance at every stage of a student’s academic journey. He further said that such measures should be followed as a prescribed routine in Government institutions. This would include coaching for national-level competitive entrances so as students from Government institutions are provided with a level playing field in a highly competitive world.

The Government of Andhra Pradesh had earlier launched the 'Manabadi Nadu-Nedu' scheme to bring better facilities to students studying in the government schools. The Chief Minister at the Tadepalli Camp office checked the last leg of the first phase of the work done under the scheme. A total of 15,715 government schools have been renovated so far. As per the officials, the phase 2 and phase 3 works for the remaining 3, 073 educational institutions are pending as yet.

In order to provide clean and drinking water in schools, the Chief Minister directed the department to ensure mineral water plants are set up in every government school across the state. The officials have also been directed that the establishment works are to be completed by 5th October 2020. Officials have also briefed the Chief Minister about the layouts for Kitchen shed in schools. The officials have been instructed by the CM that the top priority for these kitchens should be the maintenance of hygiene.
