Assam University MBA department to witness 100% placement record

Out of the total 35 students who got placed in reputed companies, 1 student, Anannya Home Choudhury secured the highest package of INR 10 Lakh per annum.

The Master of Business Administration (MBA), Department of Assam University, Silchar has recently witnessed an overwhelming response from the top companies during its placements drive. With one more semester to go, the MBA department has been successful in getting its students placed at reputed companies. According to the reports, this year (2021-22), approximately 80 percent of the students were offered placement. Considering that the last semester of the management programme is yet to be completed, faculty members of the department are hopeful for a 100% placement record for the department.

According to the information shared by Dr Deepjyoti Choudhury, Assistant Professor, MBA Department of Assam University with the source, a total of 35 students have secured placement. ITC has recruited 3 students, Berger Paints has got 1 student, 9 students got placement in Bandhan Bank, 2 in Bandhan Micro Finance, 11 students got placement in ICICI Bank, 6 students in ICICI Securities, 1 student in CRTD Technology and 2 students got placed in Dalmia Cement.

In the year 2018-19, the students of the Assam University MBA department witnessed 99.5% placement. In the next year, 2019-20, the department recorded 90% placement. In 2020-21, 73% of students got successfully placed. This year, until now, 80% of the students have received placement offers. It is likely that the department will witness cent percent placement record this year.
