Ayush Minister inaugurates hostel block at Homeopathy Research Institute in Mental Health

Union Ayush Minister Sarbananda Sonowal unveiled the hostel block at Homeopathy Research Institute in Mental Health at Kottayam (NHRIMH), Kerala, read here to know more.

During his visit to Kerala, Union Ayush Minister Sarbananda Sonowal inaugurated the hostel block at Homeopathy Research Institute in Mental Health at Kottayam. While unveiling the hostel block, he emphasised how better infrastructure and facilities would not only enhance the growth of the Ayush sector but also help students excel in academics and serve patients better.

"A much-needed infrastructure addition, I thank the people for their support in making this a reality," he said.

This institute was established in the year 1974 for the development of Homoeopathic research and education.

"We are taking a lot of initiatives in different parts of the country to strengthen the infrastructure of Ayush so that quality education and research can be made possible. You must be observing the revolutionary changes in the last 8 years, PM Modi has directed both the Health Ministry and Ayush ministry to work together because both the ministry has the same goal of prevention of disease."

"We are working together to integrate modern and traditional medicine to bring world-class healthcare to our citizens and we are committed to developing infrastructure to strengthen Ayush facilities in every part of India," he added.

With the world's first WHO Global Centre for Traditional Medicine in India, it is now our opportunity to take leadership in the field of traditional medicine, he further added.

The union minister also interacted with the students of NHRIMH.
