In a series of tweets, Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar announced relaxations and reopenings in the state amid declining cases of the novel coronavirus.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar announced the reopening of anganwadis and primary schools in the state amid the declining cases of the novel coronavirus. After analysing the COVID-19 situation in the state, the government announced various relaxations and reopenings. In a series of tweets, Bihar CM stated that anganwadis and primary schools will be reopened in the state from November 15. He further expressed the importance of vaccination for all eligible persons.
Considering the safety of the citizens, the CM also announced that the travelers coming from the states having too many cases of COVID-19 infection would have to go through a compulsory COVID-19 checkup in Bihar.
Earlier, on August 25, 2021, the minister announced the reopening of schools for Classes 1 to 12. Through his official Twitter handle, the CM said "the state government has now permitted all universities, colleges, technical institutes and schools from classes 1 to 12 to reopen. Coaching institutes have also been allowed to function. The state government has allowed schools, colleges and universities to hold exams."
Kumar also stated that the COVID situation in Bihar was reviewed and it was decided that all establishments and facilities can now operate normally. The chief minister said all shops, businesses, shopping malls, parks and gardens, and religious places can now open. He further stated that all kinds of social, political, entertainment, sports, cultural and religious functions can be organised following COVID-19 guidelines after obtaining permission from the district administration.
