The Delhi government has commenced the admission application process for Class 9 and Class 11 at Dr B R Ambedkar Schools of Specialised Excellence. Parents, Guardians and students must note that the last date to apply for admission at Ambedkar Schools of Specialised Excellence is December 22. 

Ambedkar Schools of Specialised Excellence Admission 2023-24 Begins: Applications are invited from students seeking admission to Class 9 and 11 at Dr B R Ambedkar Schools of Specialised Excellence. The Delhi government has commenced the admission application process for Class 9 and Class 11 at Dr B R Ambedkar Schools of Specialised Excellence. Parents, Guardians and students must note that the last date to apply for admission at Ambedkar Schools of Specialised Excellence is December 22, the Delhi government said.

Affiliated to the Delhi Board of School Education (DBSE), there are 37 specialised schools of excellence with 4,400 seats in Delhi as of now. Students at ASoSE are prepared by focusing on special subjects from Class 9 onwards.

According to the Delhi government, the ASOSE schools have received around 92,000 applications for admission in the academic session 2023-24. The ASOSE consists of Armed Forces Preparatory School, where 32 out of 76 students from the first batch qualified for the NDA written exam this year, School of High-end 21st Century Skills, Humanities, School of Performing and Visual Arts, School of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.

Candidates must note that for admission in class 9th, a student currently enrolled in class 9th or above in academic year 2023-24 is not eligible, and for admission in class 11th, a student currently enrolled in class 11th or above in academic year 2023-24 is not eligible.

For admission in Grade 9, the applicant must have completed the age of 13 years but less than 15 years as of 31/03/2024. Regular students currently enrolled in class 8th (academic session 23-24) in any recognised school of Delhi are eligible to apply irrespective of age.

For admission in Grade 11, the applicant must have completed the age of 15 years but less than 17 years as of 31/03/2024. Regular students who have passed class 10th (academic session 23-24) in any recognised school of Delhi are eligible to apply irrespective of age.
