In an exclusive interview with Saanvi K, the shining star from Orchids the International School, Sahakar Nagar branch (School Vivekananda), Bengaluru, who achieved a phenomenal 98.4% in the ICSE exams. Q. Please tell us something about your family background.
Saanvi K: I am Saanvi K. My family consists of six members. I live with my parents, my younger sister and my grandparents, my dad works in the construction field and my mom was a physics lecturer, now my personal teacher.
Q. Please tell us about your stream, did you choose this stream by choice? How much have you scored in your Class 12?
Saanvi K: Science has always piqued my interest and is one of my favourite subjects. Therefore, it has always been my choice to pursue science. I scored 98.4% in my board exam.
Q. What was your strategy to score above 90%?
Saanvi K: Daily practice from day one. Dedicating 3 hours daily towards my studies. Solving Previous Year's Question Papers helped me understand the topics thoroughly.
Q. Who encouraged you the most in this journey?
Saanvi K: My parents and teachers have always been my motivators. Every step of the way they have led me on the right path and have helped me overcome my hurdles.
Q. What was your routine during CISCE board exam preparation?
Saanvi K: Every day dedicating 3hours towards my studies was of utmost importance to me. Setting up a task list and trying to complete it was my aim.
Q. What are your future plans? Which career path are you aiming for?
Saanvi K: Genetics has always been my interest, studying their structure, their significance and the magic that they create is very inquisitive for me. Therefore, I intend to pursue Genetic engineering in the future.
Q. Are you preparing for CUET, JEE or NEET Exam?
Saanvi K: My aim has always been NEET. I will be going for the Medical Stream. It has always been my dream to pursue Genetic engineering in my dream university, The Indian Institute of Science.
Q. Which courses and universities are you targeting?
Saanvi K: Pursuing Genetic engineering in IISC is my target. I am also interested in pursuing an MBBS course through a prestigious AIIMS Institute.
Q. Please share some tips for students prepping to appear in CISCE Board Exams 2025
Saanvi K: Practicing from day one should be of utmost priority. One must study with all their focus on the subject. Also, it is important to keep friends with the same goals. My friend group and I had similar targets as well as goals, which benefitted me in clearing doubts and understanding the subject better also by questioning each other on subject-related topics we were able to get thorough with the topic. Being able to ask doubts and clear them with your teachers is also very significant.
