CBSE 12th Result 2024: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced CBSE 12th results 2024 online on May 13, 2024. CBSE has completed the evaluation process and soon after that the Board will commence with the compiling of CBSE 12th Result 2024. Students must note that the Board releases the Class 12 results on its official websites, i.e. cbseresults.nic.in, cbse.nic.in or cbse.gov.in. Meanwhile, students can also check and download their CBSE 12th Result 2024 via SMS, DigiLocker, UMANG App, and IVRS. CBSE Result 2024 Class 12 DECLARED, i.e. May 13, 2024. According to the CBSE Class 12 date sheet 2022, the Board conducted the 12th board exams from February 15 to April 2.

CBSE Class 12 Results 2024 Passing Marks Criteria

In order to clear the CBSE board exams and get “pass” written on their CBSE 12th marksheet after the release of CBSE 12th Results 2024, students must fulfill the criteria mentioned below:

  • Should secure a grade higher than ‘E’ (that is, at least 33% marks) in all the CBSE 12th five subjects of external exams in the main (or compartmental exams)
  • For practical work-related subjects, candidates should secure 33% marks in theory and 33% marks in practical. Apart from this, aspirants should have secured at least 33% marks in aggregate

Aspirants would be given a pass certificate by the Board if they get a grade above 'E' in all subjects of internal assessment (unless he/she is exempted).

Q:   What if I fail in one subject in CBSE class 12?

A:

In case you are unable to obtain 33 percent marks in one subject in CBSE 12th, you will be eligible to appear for the compartment exams for the same subject. The CBSE 12th compartment exams are held in June/July. This is a second chance to save your academic year. 

Students are advised to finish the CBSE 12th syllabus and know the exam pattern well. they must also solve and practice the previous year's question papers to know the types of questions asked in the exam. With focus, students can easily obtain the minimum passing marks. 

Q:   Does Pariksha pe Charcha by PM Modi improves CBSE result?

Students can also check their CBSE 10th, 12th Result 2025 through SMS, Call or IVRS, UMANG App and DigiLocker. The CBSE 10th Result 2025 is also released on the newly launched examination portal 'Pariksha Sangam'. 

The passing criteria for CBSE board exams state that a student must secure an overall 33% (including internal assessment and Board examination) in all the subjects.

The CBSE result 2025 released online is provisional in nature. Students need to collect the original mark sheet from their school.

Q:   What is the fees for applying for CBSE result 2023 revaluation?

A:

Students can apply for CBSE result 2025 revaluation at Rs 100 per question. The application for revaluation will be held in June 2025. Students can apply online on the official website- cbse.nic.in.

Q:   What if I fail in 2 subjects out of 6 in class 12th CBSE?

A:
If you fail in 2 subjects out of 6 subjects in Class 12th CBSE you will not be eligible to clear the Class 12th Board exam. In CBSE a student needs to pass in at least 5 subjects including one language subject to be considered as passed in the Class 12th Board exam. However, if you have failed in 1 or 2 subjects, you may be eligible to appear for the CBSE Class 12th compartment exam. The compartment exam is a second chance given to students who have failed in one or two subjects in the main exam to clear their papers and obtain their passing Certificate. The compartment exam is usually held in July/August, and students have to fill a separate compartment exam application form and pay the exam fee. If you clear the compartment exam, you will receive a passing Certificate. And you will be eligible for admission to higher education courses.

Q:   Can I check CBSE Result 2025 using Microsoft SMS Organizer?

A:

No, Microsoft discontinued its CBSE Result service using SMS Organizer starting 2020. The service was provided till 2019.

Yes, you must collect your marksheet from school, since the result released online is provisional. This is an important document. It will be required while applying for higher education and job.

CBSE class 12 Result 2024: How to calculate CBSE 12th Result percentage

In order to calculate the percentage of CBSE 12th results 2024, students have to add their marks of the five subjects (their best-five marks) and divide the total by 5. For example, a student secures the following marks in his/her five main subjects: 

Subject 1: 80

Subject 2: 85 

Subject 3: 87

Subject 4: 92

Subject 5: 95

Step 1: add the marks of all the five main subjects: 80+85+87+92+95= 439

Step 2: Divide the sum by 5

439/5 = 87.8% will be the percentage of your board result

How to Check CBSE Result for Class 12th 2024 Online

How to Check CBSE Class 12th Results 2024 through SMS

There is a provision to get the CBSE class 12 results by sending an SMS from the registered number. The format is to be followed for the SMS: “cbse12 (roll number) (date of birth) (school number) (Centre number) on the number 7738299899. The format of the date of birth should be DDMMYYYY. The students will then receive an SMS with a subject-wise list of their marks. 

How to Check CBSE 12th Result 2024 through IVRS

Keep yourself away from the hassles of "website not working" and "SMS delivery failed" and get your CBSE Class 12 results on call. The CBSE class 12 results can be checked through the Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS). The call would be charged at 30 paise/minute for a single roll number. The aspirants need to dial the number, 24300699 to get CBSE Class 12 results on call, along with the code of their area preceding the given number.

How to Get CBSE Class 12th Digital Marksheet through Digilocker

Students are also sent their CBSE Result 2024 for Class 12 in the form of digital marksheets via DigiLocker. Their DigiLocker account details are sent via SMS on their mobile number which is registered with CBSE. To get CBSE 12th digital marksheet via Digi locker, students have to visit the official website of DigiLocker and register themselves, Subsequently, they must follow the steps mentioned below to obtain the CBSE 12th Result 2024-

  1. Log in using the Username and Password to the App. 
  2. Go to ‘Profile’ on your page and sync the Aadhaar number, if the same is not done while signing up. 
  3. Tap on the ‘Pull Partner Documents’ button. 
  4. There will be two drop-down menus on the next screen.

From the first one, select ‘Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi’. 

From the next drop-down, select ‘Mark sheet (HSC/SSC)’, ‘Migration certificate’ or ‘Passing certificate’ etc.

  1. Enter the required details, such as year of passing and roll number, into the next screen. 
  2. The Mark sheet/ Certificate for CBSE 12th Result 2024 will be downloaded after you click on ‘Get document’. You can save the document in DigiLocker account by clicking on the ‘Save to locker’ button.
