The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted the CBSE Class 12 mathematics 2023 exam today (March 11, 2023). Students who appeared for the CBSE Class 12 maths paper 2023 can check the paper analysis here.
As per the initial review, the CBSE Class 12 maths paper was moderate and the applied mathematics exam was easy. The CBSE 12th Maths Paper carried a total of 80 marks. Candidates were given three hours to complete the question paper. Reeshu Goyal, who appeared for the Class 12 maths exam, said, “The paper was easy and high scoring with direct questions. Multiple choice questions were easy and based on NCERT. I completed the paper in time and expect good marks.”
Spokesperson Harmeet Kaur, Head of the Department of Mathematics, Silverline Prestige School, Ghaziabad, said, “The paper was moderate, balanced as expected. Questions were mainly based on CBSE guidelines. Direct questions were quite easy and the competency-based questions were average. Students were able to attempt the paper in time. The paper pattern was similar to the CBSE sample paper for the 2022-23 session.”
She said, "Students were satisfied. Case study questions were application based, but the multiple-choice questions were mostly easy to moderate. Students found that approximately 15 per cent of questions were above average.”
Nilutpal Bora, PGT- Mathematics, Modern English School, Kahilipara, Guwahati, said, “All questions were from syllabus and questions related to the chapter matrix and vector were relatively easy . The content was strictly based on NCERT syllabus and the MCQ questions were of moderate level. Questions related to calculus part were also of moderate level and few of them were either directly from book or from previous year question papers. Overall, if a student has studied the entire syllabus thoroughly and also practiced previous year papers, s/he will be able to score very good marks. The paper can be easily completed within the stipulated time.”
