Students must note that the subjects that the student will choose in class 9 will be carried forward to class 10. According to the reports, CBSE stated that the academic programme for class 9th and 10th has an integrated approach. This means that the subjects that students will choose to study in class 9 will be the same subjects s/he will be appearing for in CBSE 10thboard exams.
Another key point to focus on is that in case any student fails any of the three compulsory subjects (Mathematics, Science and Social Science), but manages to clear the elective skill subject, the skill-based subject will replace the core academic subject during CBSE 10th board exam. Similarly, if any student fails in language 1 or language 2 exams, the subject will be replaced by language 3 (if clear).
