This initiative is in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which mandates 50 hours of continuous professional development for all teachers and head teachers. Under the Ministry of Education's supervision, CBSE aims to train approximately 15,000 Resource Persons (RPs) in multiple batches through this program.

Course Details and Objectives

The certificate course is structured around key components including Direct Trainers Skills (DTS), Design of Training (DoT), and Integrated Approaches to Child and Adolescent Development. The pilot version of the curriculum was launched on August 23, marking the beginning of this important training endeavor.

Broad Impact and Certification

CBSE plans to extend the benefits of this training to the 1.3 million teachers across its affiliated schools by leveraging the newly trained resource persons. The course, which is offered free of charge, will provide participants with a certificate co-signed by CBSE and ISTM, acknowledging their participation and completion of the program.

This collaboration represents a significant step towards enhancing the quality of training for educators, ensuring they are well-equipped to meet the evolving needs of their students and the educational landscape.
