In a move to enhance communication between schools and parents, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has introduced a parenting calendar for the upcoming 2025-26 academic session. This initiative aims to support students, especially those in adolescence and children with special needs (CWSN), through structured and timely communication, addressing various concerns including behavioural changes, exam-related issues, and other critical milestones.
Strengthening Parent-Teacher Interactions
The parenting calendar is a part of CBSE's ongoing efforts to encourage better collaboration between parents and schools. By offering a clear and consistent framework for engagement, the calendar seeks to ensure that both parents and schools can respond effectively to student needs in a timely manner.
With the intention of making communication more transparent, the calendar will focus on areas such as student progress, exam preparations, and emotional or behavioural adjustments throughout the academic year. This initiative also underscores CBSE's commitment to supporting students at various stages of their education, especially those facing unique challenges.
