The official CBSE notification specifies, "As per Clause 1.3 (3), the Land Certificate must be issued within one year of the application date. The certificate should be issued by authorized authorities such as DM, ADM, SDM, Tehsildar, Naib-Tehsildar, Registrar, Sub-Registrar, or any equivalent authority."

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a notification detailing the necessary documents schools must provide when applying for affiliation. This requirement, outlined in SARAS Manual 5.0, applies to various application categories, including Fresh Affiliation, Upgradation, and Extension.

Essential Documentation for New Schools

According to Clauses 1.3 (3) and 1.3 (5) of the SARAS Manual 5.0, schools must submit both a Land Certificate and a Building Safety Certificate before establishing a new CBSE-affiliated institution. The Land Certificate must be issued within one year prior to the application date, and the Building Safety Certificate should provide comprehensive details about the school's building blocks and their respective floors. This certificate must be issued by an official no lower than the rank of Assistant Engineer from the Government Works Department.
