The Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has announced that the schools will conduct pre-Boards only if the syllabus is completed and revised. Schools will conduct pre-Board exams from March-end.
The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has instructed schools to conduct pre-board exams for ICSE Class 10 and ISC Class 12 only if the syllabus is completed and revised. CISCE has clearly stated that if the syllabus remains uncompleted or unrevised, the school to not conduct the pre-boards.
“Schools are advised to not conduct the 'Pre-Board Examinations' for the ICSE and ISC candidates unless the syllabus has been thoroughly revised and completed. Preferably, the 'Pre-Board' examinations should be conducted between March end and April,” CISCE stated in an official notice.
The board has already announced that the ICSE and ISC semester 2 exams will be conducted from the last week of April 2022. In a notice released on the official website, the Board has stated that the detailed CISCE ICSE, ISC Semester 2 Time Table 2022 will be released soon.
The board has said in the released notification that scheduling ICSE and ISC semester 2 exams in April end will give schools sufficient time to complete and revise the syllabus before the exam. On completion of the whole syllabus covering and revision, the schools can conduct pre-board from the end of March.
After considering the current COVID-19 situation in the country, the board has decided to reduce the syllabus for various subjects to lessen the burden of exams. Similar to other state boards and central boards like CBSE, PSEB and more, ICSCE decided to conduct ICSE and ISC exams in two-semester. The first-semester exam has already been conducted last year and the result for the same is also declared on February 7, 2022. The final result will be declared after conducting the semester 2 exams.
