Earlier, on March 7,  the Board announced the postponement of the class 10 examination until March 31. 

The Board of Secondary Education, Andhra Pradesh postponed the class 10/ SSC Exam 2020. According to the latest reports, the education minister of Andhra Pradesh declared the postponement of the BSEAP class 10 examination. The BSEAP SSC exams that were scheduled to begin from March 31, 2020, onwards are now postponed by two weeks due to the outbreak of the coronavirus. Adimulapu Suresh, the state’s education minister stated that the Board will release the BSEAP SSC datesheet later. For now, the exams are postponed for the next two weeks and will now be conducted after April 15. Earlier, on March 7,  the Board announced the postponement of the class 10 examination until March 31. 

The news regarding the postponement of the BSEAP SSC exams came as a relief for the students who have registered to appear for the examination. Earlier, Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE), Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE), West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE), Uttarakhand Board of School Education (UBSE), Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan (RBSE), Punjab State Education Board (PSEB), Kerala State Board, and Telangana State Secondary School Certificate (TS SSC Board) postponed the class 10 and class 12 examinations.

The state governments decided to postpone the Board examinations in the wake of the COVID-19 spread in the country. Amid the outbreak of the deadly pandemic coronavirus, state governments are taking all the possible precautionary measures to curb its spread. The rapidly spreading novel coronavirus fractured the education system all around the globe. Closed schools, suspended college lectures, and postponed examinations are some of the effects of the coronavirus on the academic structure of the country. Due to the increasing numbers of positive coronavirus cases, state governments ordered a complete lockdown in severely affected regions. No public transports are working, borders are sealed, and people are urged to follow social distancing. The total coronavirus cases in India have risen above 500.
