Amid the arising health and economic crisis in India due to the outbreak of novel coronavirus, the country’s education system is trying its best to keep its bodies functioning.
The Bihar education department decided to promote these students without examination as conducting annual examinations is not safe due to the rapidly spreading coronavirus. In the official notification released by According to a reputed source, the education department of Bihar stated that all schools within the boundaries of the state will be promoting all the students of 1st to 9th and 11th classes without holding any exams. The board also confirmed that no results will be announced for the students who are currently in these classes as they are being promoted directly.
While BSEB announced the promotion of the students studying in classes 1 to 9 and 11, the board also released BSEB 12th result despite the lockdown. However, BSEB 10th result is yet to come. On March 24, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a nationwide lockdown for 21 days i.e. until April 14 to contain the spread of contagious COVID-19 virus. The minister also advised people to practice social distancing by not stepping outside their homes. The lockdown resulted in the suspension of the evaluation work and the suspension led to delay in results.
While many state ministers are demanding an extension of the lockdown, it appears that the result will be delayed further.
