Delhi Government School Admission 2024-25: The Directorate of Education (DoE) has commenced the Delhi government school admission application process for Class 6 to 9. Parents or guardians seeking Delhi government school admission 2024-25 for their wards must fill and submit the registration form through the official website, edudel.nic.in. The last date to register for Delhi Government School Admission 2024 is April 17, 2024.
Applicants must note that the Delhi School admission 2024 allotment list will be released on April 29, 2024. Shortlisted applicants are required to submit the required documents. Delhi Government School admission submission, verification of documents will be conducted from April 30 to May 10, 2024.
An official notice regarding Delhi government school admission 2024 reads, "Students presently studying/placed under NSO in Government/Government Aided Schools shall approach their last attended school for further assistance regarding their transfer/readmission.”
Delhi Government School Admission 2024: Who can apply?
For Class 6 admission, applicant who have passed or promoted from Class 5 may complete online registration. Out-of-school children are required to undergo in-person registration at the nearest school to their home.
Additionally, parents of children aged 10-12 years who haven't attended school are urged to register their child at the closest school. Upon registration, the child will undergo an assessment for Foundational Literacy & Numeracy, and their class placement will be based on the assessment outcome.
Delhi Government School Admission 2024: Age criteria
The age criteria for admission to Delhi government schools for classes 6 to 9. The Heads of Schools (HoS) hold the discretion to grant a maximum and minimum age relaxation of six months.
- Class 6: Completed age of 10 but less than 12 years
- Class 7: Completed age of 11 but less than 13 years
- Class 8: Completed age of 12 but less than 14 years
- Class 9: Completed age of 13 but less than 15 years
