FIR Lodged Against 4 Bihar School Teachers After Photo with RJD Candidate Went Viral

The FIR against four government school teachers was filed by Bagaha 2 bock education officer, Vijay Kumar Yadav, for breaching electoral board rules during election duty. 

A first information report (FIR) has been lodged against four government teachers in Bihar for violating electoral board rules during elections. Reportedly, the four teachers are accused of taking photographs with a Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) candidate at the election office during election duty. Deepak Yadav is running for elections from the Valmikimagar seat on the Rashtriya Janata Dal ticket. 

The four teachers namely Sanjay Kumar, Vinod Ram Paswan, Bholanath Yadav and Sunil Kumar Yadav were from different schools and have been appointed for the election duties.  The FIR has been lodged against the four teachers by the Bagaha 2 block education officer Vijay Kumar, as reported by Hindustan Times. 

“The four teachers are accused of taking part in electioneering and their photograph with a candidate has gone viral on social media. Further investigation into the matter is on,” says Kumar Devendra,  Bagaha sub-divisional police officer.

Pathakhauli police have registered the case against the four teachers and the four teachers are under supervision for involvement in electioneering. 

Meanwhile, a government teacher in Bihar was imprisoned on Sunday for allegedly provoking students to not vote for Prime Minister Narendra Modi. the teacher has been taken into custody for violating the election model code of conduct, an FIR has consequently been lodged by the district education officer.
