Goa Board 2023: GBSHSE Class 9, 11 'need improvement' students to appear as private candidates

GBSHSE in an official notice stated that Class 9 and Class 11 candidates can enroll themselves as private candidates through the websites, i.e. gbshse.gov.in, gbshse.info and goabshse.net/private.

GBSHSE Class 9, 11 Exams 2023: The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) in an official notice stated that Class 9 and Class 11 candidates can enroll themselves as private candidates through the websites, i.e. gbshse.gov.in, gbshse.info and goabshse.net/private.

The notice stated that 'needs improvement' students of the academic year 2022-2023 can appear as private candidates for Class 10 and Class 12 public examination from 2023-2024 onwards.

The GBSHSE official notice reads: "With reference to above cited subject, the Board has decided to continue with the scheme for Class IX & Class XI Needs Improvement candidates to appear as Private candidate from the Academic Year 2023-2024 onwards."

"Students who have appeared at Class IX and Class XI for the Academic Year 2022-2023 and with the remark in the results as "NEEDS IMPROVEMENT" will be able to appear as Private Candidate for the Public Examination (SSC/HSSC) for the Academic Year 2023-2024", the notice further added.

Earlier, the Board introduced this relief in the year 2021 as a one-time concession for the students during the pandemic year. For any queries or clarification candidates can contact the assistant secretary of the office or email to sec-gbshse.goa@nic.in.
