Goa Board confirmed the commencement of Goa SSC board exams from May 21 to June 6. The confirmation came after the Bombay HC and the Ministry of Home Affairs gave a green signal to the conduction of board exams amid COVID-19 lockdown.
Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education on May 20 confirmed that it will conduct Goa SSC Board Exams 2020 from May 21 to June 6, 2020. The confirmation came after the Bombay HC and the Ministry of Home Affairs gave a green signal to the conduction of board exams amid COVID-19 lockdown.
Students who are supposed to appear for the Goa SSC board exams can check the final datesheet on the board’s official website i.e. www.gbshse.gov.in or can simply CLICK HERE .
An official statement released by the examination authorities states, "The examination will commence at 9.00 a.m. in all categories (General/CWSN/Pre- Vocational/NSQF category). All the candidates are advised to be present at their respective Centre of Examination 30 minutes prior to the commencement of Examination. Late arrival beyond 30 minutes after the commencement of the examination in each subject shall disqualify the candidate from appearing for that examination. 10 minutes extra to be allotted for writing paper as one-time relaxation in time." The statement also informs that the candidates are not supposed to carry any electronic gadgets and are required to strictly follow the instructions printed on the admission card and main answer book.
Goa SSC Board Examination 2020 will be conducted at 29 centres across the state. Approximately 19, 680 candidates will be appearing for the exams out of which 9,790 are boys and 9,890 are girls. Goa SSC exams and two papers of Goa HSSC exams got postponed due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus.
