Those students who failed to clear the GSEB HSC Science or GSEB SSC exam 2023 can appear for the GSEB supplementary exam 2023, which will take place in July 2023 tentatively.
The Gujarat State Education Board has issued a circular regarding GSEB HSC and SSC Supplementary Examinations 2023. The students who were absent in one or two subjects or failed in one or two subjects in the HSC science stream and SSC exams can improve their score by appearing in the GSEB supplementary exam 2023. They can submit their applications till June 5, 2023, till 5 pm.
GSEB 12th compartment exams will take place from July 11 till July 15, 2023, according to the tentative GSEB supplementary exam date sheet, whereas the supplementary exams for GSEB SSC will also be held in July 2023. Gujarat board class 10 supplementary application fee for one subject is INR 130 while for two subjects it is INR 185.
The official notice read, “A school- wise list of examinees who have scope for improvement has been prepared and sent to the schools along with the March 2023 exam results. Students who have failed or absent in one or two exams can appear for the supplementary examination.”
It further read, “Schools can apply for the supplementary examination online by visiting the official website at www.gseb.org or hscscipurakreg.gseb.org. The application process and fee payment process will have to be done by the school through online mode only. The report of students who are absent in one or two subjects or failed in one or two subjects sent to the schools is for the information of the school only. The mode of acceptance of application form in person or by post is not in force. So, the list of students need not be sent to the board. Application for the exam can be done online from 26/05/2023 12:00 noon to 05/06/2023 17,00 pm.”
No exam fee for girl students, disabled
It is to be noted that the government has exempted female candidates and disabled candidates from paying the examination fee, so no examination fee is required from female candidates and disabled candidates. But online application (registration) is mandatory for supplementary exam- 2023. Zero (0) fee receipt is to be retained as basis of registration. It has to be presented before the board when required.
