JAC 10th, 12th Toppers 2023: All board toppers to get laptop, phone or PC in Jharkhand

The announcement was made while addressing a state-level workshop of school management committees (SMCs) of the upcoming 80 utkrist vidyalayas (school of excellence).

JAC 10th, 12th Toppers 2023: The Jharkhand government has announced its decision to provide laptops, computers and high-end smartphones to top three performers from JAC 10^th, JAC 12^th along with all other boards from the state. The decision has been taken in addition to the existing cash prizes, chief minister Hemant Soren announced. The announcement was made while addressing a state-level workshop of school management committees (SMCs) of the upcoming 80 utkrist vidyalayas (school of excellence). The first such SMC conclave was organised at Tana Bhagat indoor stadium in Khelgaon, Ranchi.

“To encourage students to perform better, we had started to provide cash prize of 3 lakh, 2 lakh and 1 lakh respectively to the toppers since our government came to power. Now, we have decided to give them laptops, computers and smartphones too in addition to the cash prizes. These gadgets are the need of the hour in today’s fast-changing world for students,” Soren announced, stating his government has undertaken a mission to develop state-run schools at par with the private ones with all the state-of-art facilities.

Jharkhand Board commenced JAC 10^th an JAC 12^th board exams 2023 on March 14. While, Jharkhand Board Class 10 exams 2023 are scheduled to conclude on April 3, JAC Class 12 board exams 2023 will conclude on April 5.

The minister also shared the government’s plan to set up more than 4000 model schools or schools of excellence in next couple of years. In the first phase, 80 schools of excellence across 24 districts are waiting to begin operation from the next academic year.
