The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) had announced that the last date to apply for the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) for Class 6 admission for the academic session 2025-26 has been extended to September 25, 2024.

JNVST Class 6 Admission 2025-26 Window Closes in 3 Days 

JNVST Admission 2025: Candidates who haven't applied for JNVST Admission 2025 must note that the registration window closes in three days. The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) had announced that the last date to apply for the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) for Class 6 admission for the academic session 2025-26 has been extended to September 25, 2024. This extension follows an earlier deadline of September 16, providing a final opportunity for eligible candidates to secure their admission.

Application Guidelines and Eligibility Criteria

Students who have not yet applied are urged to do so promptly through the official website, http://navodaya.gov.in. Candidates are advised to submit only one application, as duplicate applications will lead to rejection. Notably, students who applied in the previous year must not apply again.

To qualify for JNVST Class 6 admission, applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:

- General Eligibility: Candidates must be born between May 1, 2013, and July 31, 2015, and should not have previously passed Class 6 before the 2024-25 academic session.

Rural Candidates

  - Seat Reservation: 75% of seats are reserved for rural candidates.

  - Education Requirements: Must have completed Classes 3, 4, and 5 at a government or recognized rural school.

  - Local Requirement: Class 5 must be completed in the same district where they are applying.

  - NIOS Candidates: Students from the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) must provide a rural status certificate.

Urban Candidates

Those who attended school in an urban area during Classes 3, 4, and 5 will be classified as urban candidates.

Exam Schedule and Format

The JNVST 2025 will be conducted in two phases: the first phase on January 18, 2025, and the second phase on April 12, 2025, both starting at 11:30 AM.

The examination will last for two hours, from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM, and will consist of 80 objective-type questions totaling 100 marks across three sections. Candidates with disabilities will receive an additional 40 minutes to complete the exam.

With only three days remaining to apply, eligible students are encouraged to take action quickly to secure their chance for admission into one of India's prestigious Navodaya Vidyalayas.
