The Department of Pre-university Education, Karnataka declared the pre-university I exam results amid COVID-19 lockdown. 

The Department of Pre-university Education, Karnataka declared the pre-university I exam results. Following the social distancing norms, no college will be displaying the result. The Karnataka 1st PUC exams 2020 results are uploaded on the official website i.e. karresults.nic.in. Also, the authorities will send the results to the registered mobile numbers of the parents and students. According to the reports, Candidates who appeared for the First Year PUC or Pre-University Certificate examination can check their results using their registration number and date of birth. The reports also suggest that the students who will not able to clear the Karnataka 1st PUC exams will be given a chance to appear for supplementary examinations at the college level and further details on this will be shared with the institutes by the department in due course.

Around 6.53 lakh students appeared for the 1st PUC Results 2020 of Karnataka Board and were expecting their results today. Out of the total, 2, 00,801 students are from Arts Stream, 2, 48,000 are in commerce stream and 2, 04,000 students are in Science Stream.

Karnataka 1st PUC exams 2020 results: Steps to check

Candidates who appeared for the 1st PUC exams 2020 can check their results following the steps mentioned below:

Step 1: Visit the official websites for Karnataka 1st PUC result i.e. karresults.nic.in or pue.kar.nic.in.
Step 2: Click on the result link provided on the homepage (on pue.kar.nic.in website and on the other website, click directly on the result link)
Step 3: Enter the necessary details 
Step 4: Click on submit

Step 5: The link will be redirected to the 1st PUC result page

However, the official result page is not updated by the board yet. According to the reports, the results will be uploaded soon.

Students can also check their 1st PUC exams 2020 by visiting https://result.bspucpa.com/ and entering their 'register number' along with their registered 'date of birth'.  

Earlier, the Primary and Secondary Education Minister of the state revealed that the evaluation process for the Karnataka 1st PUC exam is complete and the result will be out on May 5. In order to follow the norms of social distancing, results will be uploaded on the board's official website and will be sent to the registered mobile numbers of the parents and students. No result will be displayed in the colleges.

While addressing the media, the State Education Minister, Suresh Kumar said, “The results of the first year Pre-University Examinations will be announced on May 5. The results will be sent directly to students. Hence, colleges will not be displaying the results.” In Karnataka, the pre-university course of PUC is a two-year course including class 11 and class 12 known as PUC I and PUC II respectively. Admission to varsities and for further studies dependent on the PUC score of candidates. 

Meanwhile, the state is yet to conduct pending Karnataka SSLC board exams (Class 10) and Karnataka 2nd PUC board exam (Class 12). The board is not able to release the revised Karnataka SSLC Time Table 2020 and Karnataka 2nd PUC Time Table 2020 due to the COVID-19 lockdown.
