MP Board 10th, 12th preparation Tips
Students must check some of the tips and tricks provided below to ace the MPBSE 12th exams:
Get to know the syllabus first
It is important that every student understands what topics are part of the syllabus. The syllabus can look large and intimidating, but simply reading and understanding the topics will make it easier. Knowing the syllabus thoroughly will instil a sense of familiarity with the subject and will reduce stress too.
Organise the study material
some subjects will have a lot of study material. Not only is there one single book, but there will also be different books for different topics, along with handouts. It is important for students to read through the study material and understand which are more important. The ones that are clearer and coherent should be retained while other study materials should be removed.
Write out answers
A lot of study materials are provided by both the school and tuition centres or coaching classes. However, it is recommended that students practise writing answers and make their own notes. Making your own notes ensures greater familiarity with the syllabus and topics. Writing answers in your own words will also help improve the speed of writing.
Study based on capability
Every student is not the same. They all have different capabilities. While some might be good at learning or mugging up, others might be good at understanding or working with numbers. This is why students should assess their own capabilities and study accordingly. For example, students who are not good at learning or mugging up should leave the most theory intensive chapters. They can focus on equations and focus based chapters to score marks. If a student tries to forcefully learn something, it will only cause stress.
Know the periodic table well
This is something that is a basic need for every chemistry student. The periodic table exists to be used for reference but cannot be used during exams. However, knowing the table can ensure that students will be able to answer most questions and equations. If you know the properties of a chemical, you can easily work out an equation.
Solve papers
There is no better way to prepare for an exam than to solve sample papers. Sample papers and previous years’ question papers will familiarise students with the question paper pattern. Students will also get to know what kind of questions they can expect in their exams. Solving sample papers and previous years’ papers is also the best way to learn how to allot time to different questions. Students often struggle with time management during an exam and therefore they cannot finish the paper.
Decide which topics need more attention
All topics in the syllabus do not have the same needs. Some require more time and attention because they are more difficult. You, as a student, have to go through the syllabus and assess which topics you feel are more difficult. These will need more time and focus from you.
Do not do selective study
Selective study is not suitable for this subject or this paper pattern. Because the question paper pattern is mostly short and objective type questions, you cannot study whatever you like. Chances are the whole paper will cover every topic in the syllabus. You can only leave out very little, that too if you find it very difficult. To make up for this, you will have to study everything else well.
