Despite the ongoing pandemic situation and serious health concerns involved during the second wave of the novel coronavirus, the Kerala government conducted DHSE plus two examinations in 2021 in the state adhering to strict COVID-19 protocols.
The Kerala government has decided that it will not charge any fee from Class 12 students for the academic year 2020-21. The decision has been taken in view of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic situation. Announcing the government’s decision regarding the fee, Kerala education minister V Sivankutty via his official Twitter handle, said, “The Department of Education has decided not to charge fees from any second year / Plus Two student for the academic year 2020-21. This decision is based on the situation of Covid-19 in the country and state.”

The Kerala Class 12 exams were conducted following strict health protocol and precautionary measures. The board conducted Kerala plus two exams 2021 from April 8 to April 26, 2021. On July 28, the authority released Kerala plus two results. According to the official data released by the Board, the overall pass percentage of Kerala plus two exams stood at 87.94%.
Meanwhile, various media reports suggest that the Kerala government has also taken a decision to increase the seat intake by 20% for Class 11 students in all subjects. The increase in seat intake has been done in all government and aided higher secondary schools of seven districts, i.e. Thiruvananthapuram, Palakkad, Kozhikode, Malappuram, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod. Students must note that DHSE has also released the revised timetable for Kerala plus one exam 2021. According to the official schedule, the Board will conduct the DHSE Kerala plus one exam 2021 from September 6 to September 27, 2021.
