The Gautam Buddh Nagar administration on December 28 ordered the closure of all schools across Noida and Greater Noida on Friday and Saturday (December 29 and 30) due to cold weather conditions, according to the order issued by Basic Education Officer Rahul Panwar.
Noida Schools Closed: Amid the chilling temperature and falling mercury in Northern India, several state governments have announced the closure of private and government schools. Many have even ordered to change the school timings. Among various cities, Noida in Uttar Pradesh has announced the closure of schools.
The Gautam Buddh Nagar administration on December 28 ordered the closure of all schools across Noida and Greater Noida on Friday and Saturday (December 29 and 30) due to cold weather conditions, according to the order issued by Basic Education Officer Rahul Panwar.
“In compliance with the instructions given by District Magistrate, Gautam Buddh Nagar, Maneesh Kumar Verma in view of the dense fog and extreme cold, all the boards (CBSE/ICSE/IB and others) recognised schools, council schools, government schools or non-government aided schools will observe holiday on December 29 and 30,” Panwar was quoted by PTI.
Meanwhile, Haryana chief minister earlier announced a winter break for 15 days. Haryana School Winter Vacation is slated to commence from January 1, 2024, and conclude on January 15, 2024. Schools are scheduled to reopen on January 16, 2024.
“In the context of the above subject, you are informed that winter vacation is declared in all government and private schools of the state from January 1, 2024 to January 15, 2024. Schools will be reopened from January 16, 2024 (Tuesday),” the CMO posted on its official ‘X’ account.
