How to handle expectation pressure during board exams 2024?

  • Sarvodya Bal Vidyalay, Md Arsh asked, "how to handle the expectation pressure created by parents, relatives and more during board exams?" To this, PM Modi stated that this question has been arising in every edition of PPC. This means that every batch is facing the expectation pressure. The minister added, that while the batches have been changing every year, the teachers have remained the same. Hence, if teachers would have listened to my suggestion and implemented the same in schools, it would have helped students." He further added that we can't stop listening to what other people are saying. However, students are advised to start preparing for the approaching exams keeping the pressure aside. Students must also understand the type of pressure during the board exam 2024. Sometimes students find it difficult to sustain the self-created pressure. Hence, students must stretch themselves to the point they can handle it. Secondly, the pressure that parents create, or the relatives or our known ones create. The Minister said that instead of making a systematic theory of handling this pressure, people should evolve and help students handle this pressure.

Students should help each other and learn from each other.

How a teacher can reduce board exam stress for students?

  • Sampat Rao, a teacher from Andhra Pradesh and Bunty Medhi, a teacher from Assam, asked for tips for teachers to reduce board exam stress for students. Answering the question, PM Modi said that teachers must improve their relationship with students since day 1 of the class. This will help students stay open with them and contact their teachers with their queries without any worry. The relationship between a teacher and student must not be just about subject or syllabus. Create a relationship with your students beyond syllabus. This bond will improve students' performance in exams. PM Modi asks teachers to interact with the families of their students, share positive updates with them, to help students trust them. Teachers ka kaam Job karna nahi hai, Teachers ka kaam zindagi ko sawarna hai, aur wahi parivartan lata hai!

How to cope with last-minute stress in board examination hall?

  • Adrita Chakraborty, a Class 12 student from Tripura asked, I panic by the end of exam, how to cope with this last-minute stress while winding up board exam? Another student from Orissa, Raj Laxmi asked, It is easier to say stay cool in the exam hall. However, situations like do not move, do not turn your head, often create stress. How to stay cool in the exam hall? Answering the question PM Modi said, that parents often buy a new pen for students for exam, or make them eat heavy food, etc. He said it is my sincere request to let your children be the way they want to and help them stay cool before the commencement of the exam. The minister also asked students to stay calm before the commencement of exam and leave books at the last moment. He further said that lighten up and practice deep breathing to become comfortable during the exam. The minister also suggested students read the complete question paper and understand from which section they are comfortable to start. In the era of tablets and laptops, students' writing speed is getting slower. Stating the same, the minister asked students to practice writing while preparing for exams. This will help them speed up during board exams, he said. A swimmer will never be scared of water, similarly, if you sufficiently practice for board exams, you will not feel scared while attempting the question papers, this is why writing practice and correcting yourself is important.

How to get a balance between studies and a healthy lifestyle?

  • Dheeraj, a Class 12 student from Rajkiya Uchh Vidyalay, Rajasthan, along with Najma Khatoon, a Class 10 student from PM Shree Kendriya Vidyalaya, Kargil Ladak, and Toby Laomi, a teacher from Government Higher Secondary School, Arunachal Pradesh asked PM Modi to suggest techniques to balance a healthy lifestyle and exam preparation. To this, the Prime Minister said the way a mobile phone is required to be recharged, it is important for us to recharge our body and lifestyle. Concentration during exams requires a healthy body. Students don't have to spend hours exercising or paying to improve their physical health. They can simply sit under the sun to study because sunlight is important for a healthy body, a good sleep is important for a healthy mind, the minister added. Proper nutrition with a balanced diet is another important aspect that is important to score well in exams. No compromise exercise, dedicated physical activities will also help students stay stress-free during exams.

How to choose the right stream without feeling the pressure?

  • Madhumita Mallik, PM Shree Kendriya Vidyalaya, West Bengal, along with Aditi Tanward, a Class 11 student from The Millennium High School, Haryana, have asked PM Modi to suggest the right way of choosing a career path or stream without feeling the pressure. To this, PM Modi asked students to stop wandering here and there and make sound decisions while choosing the career path they want. Do not feel underconfident, wander, or compare with others while pursuing your dreams. You have to become a decision-maker to take a sound decision for yourself. Understand all the positives and negatives until making a decision and once you make a decision stick with it and excel in it.

How to make parents trust your hard work?

  • Deepashree, a student from Government higher secondary school, Pondicherry asked PM Modi how to make our parents understand that we are studying hard. To this PM Modi informed that families often have this trust deficit. Students need to win their parent's trust with their actions. Do what you preach! Do exactly what you are telling your parents and teachers. Do not lie to them, so that this trust deficit is not created. Similarly, parents need to trust their wards. Understand what your children are saying. Stop blaming your children for claims such as you do not study, spending too much time on phone, etc. This mistrust often creates distance between parents and children. This distance often leads to depression among students. Similarly, teachers must also put their trust in students. This will create an environment for students to thrive.

How to motivate students to use their brains more than depending on technology?

  • PM Modi while answering Chandresh Jain, a Guardian from Pune, Maharashtra, along with another parent and a student, on how to manage studies and usage of technology, the Prime Minister said that excess of anything is bad! The way you can't keep on eating your favorite food endlessly, similarly, how amazing the technology is, dedicating time to its usage is important. While technology is good for information, it must be noted that excess usage of phones and computers is unappreciating. Parents must make some rules at home, for instance, no mobile phones allowed on the dining table. There must be a 'no gadget zone' in all homes where all family members must just sit and talk rather than sticking their heads on mobile screens. Meanwhile, students are advised to gain the trust of their parents by sharing what they have learnt from it. He further asked students to track their screen time to stay aware. Students must also discuss the positives of mobile phones and the internet in the classroom to spread awareness on using technology positively.

What's the secret behind PM Modi's Positive Lifestyle?

  •  M. Vagesh, a student from Modern Senior Secondary School, Tamil Nadu, and Sneha Tyagi, Dynasty Modern Gurukul Academy, Uttarakhand, asked PM Modi the mantra to stay positive towards life. Answering the question, PM Modi said, hiding behind your fears won't help you excel in life. I challenge all the challenges I get in life. I never let the situation be, however, I always fight the situation and evolve. This helps me develop and stay confident. No matter how tough the situation gets, I always see the light. If there are a hundred million challenges, there are millions of solutions. I keep myself motivated whatever the situation is by trusting my own abilities.
