Tamil Language Literary Aptitude Test: The Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE), Tamil Nadu, has announced the commencement of the application process for the Tamil Language Literary Aptitude Test. Started on September 5, eligible and interested candidates can download the application form from the official website, [dge.tn.gov.in](http://dge.tn.gov.in). The deadline for submitting applications is September 19.

Exam Date and Scholarship Details

This year’s Tamil Language Literary Aptitude Test is scheduled to be held on October 19. The examination aims to identify and reward talented students in Tamil literature. A total of 1,500 students will be selected to receive a stipend of INR 1,500 per month for two years.

In a bid to ensure equitable representation, the Directorate has announced that fifty per cent of the awardees will be chosen from government schools, while the remaining fifty per cent will be selected from both government and private schools.

Syllabus and Eligibility

The test will be based on the syllabus from the Class 10 textbooks prescribed by the Tamil Nadu government. It will be conducted at district capitals across the state.

Students currently enrolled in Class 11 in recognized schools, including those affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) in Tamil Nadu, are also eligible to apply.

Application Submission

Candidates are required to download the application form from [dge.tn.gov.in](http://dge.tn.gov.in), complete it, and submit it along with a INR 50 examination fee to the headmaster or principal of their respective schools.
