TS NMMS 2025 Application Deadline Extended: The Directorate of Government Examinations, Telangana has announced an extension for the registration deadline of the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMS) for the year 2025. Interested candidates can now submit their applications, both for fresh and renewal NMMS scholarships, through the official website at tgbie.cgg.gov.in.

New Deadline for NMMS Registration

As per the latest official notification, the last date to apply for Telangana NMMS 2025 has been extended to January 19, 2025. This extension applies to both fresh applications from students who passed the Intermediate Public Examination - 2025, as well as renewal applications for students who were previously selected for the scholarship.

In addition, the Institute Nodal Officer (INO) verification deadline has also been extended until January 23, 2025, allowing more time for verification of applications.

TS NMMS 2025 Eligibility and Passing Criteria

To be eligible for the Telangana NMMS 2025, students must meet the following passing criteria:

  • General Category candidates must score at least 40% in the combined performance of both the MAT (Mental Ability Test) and SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) papers.
  • Reserved Categories such as SC, ST, and PH candidates must score a minimum of 32% in the combined performance of both papers.

The final NMMS Telangana Merit List will be prepared based on the total marks obtained in both the MAT and SAT papers.

TS NMMS 2025 Renewal Application Process

In a move to ensure wider participation, the Telangana government has revised the guidelines for renewal applications. Students who missed applying for the renewal of their scholarships online on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) will now be allowed to apply for the renewal if they fulfill the eligibility criteria. These students will be issued an OTR ID (One-Time Registration ID) by the NIC-NSP, which will be sent to their registered mobile numbers.

Once the OTR ID is generated, applicants need to approach the Ministry online with the necessary valid documents for verification. Upon verification, the Ministry will confirm their eligibility for renewal in the academic year 2024-25.
