VSB, ISDC collaborate to launch certificate in digital marketing to BBA students

According to the agreement, ISDC will offer the globally recognized ISDC certificate in digital marketing to students pursuing a specialization in digital marketing within the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) programme at VSB.

Vellore Institute of Technology, Andhra Pradesh (VIT-AP) School of Business (VSB), has collaborated with International Skill Development Corporation Limited (ISDC), UK. An agreement has been signed on July 11, 2023, at VIT-AP University.

According to the agreement, ISDC will offer the globally recognized ISDC certificate in digital marketing to students pursuing a specialization in digital marketing within the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) programme at VSB. Additionally, for students specializing in BBA Fintech, ISDC will offer a certificate in Fintech, with assessment and recognition from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).

VSB and ISDC will also offer the ACCA professional certification to Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) students at VIT-AP. These students will receive exemptions for nine papers, and will only be required to appear for the remaining four papers at the ACCA Professional level, as all the papers at the ACCA Foundation level will be fully exempted.

The training for ACCA courses will consist of 240 lecture hours including revisions, and mock exams. Expert trainers from ISDC, UK will conduct these courses. SV Kota Reddy, the vice chancellor of VIT-AP University, commended VSB for its efforts in providing professional certifications to the students. Rajesh Poonia, Zonal Head - South, ISDC, said, “The course contents include Digital Marketing Fundamentals, Inbound and Outbound Marketing, SEO, Web, and Social Media Analytics which would be covered in 140 hours. The Fintech certificate would be covered in 250 hours spread across 2 semesters, covering Business and Technology, Fintech, Fintech Application in Financial Services, and Fintech Apps.”

Jagadish Chandra Mudiganti, registrar, of VIT-AP University said,” The Fintech certification would pool in placement opportunities for the B.Tech students”. Shanthakumari SS, dean of VSB thanked ISDC for extending the collaboration with VSB, from the current Business Analytics certification to other domains such as Digital Marketing and Fintech specialization.
