CBSE Board exams 2022-23 to be held once, Class 10, 12 syllabus released!

CBSE 2022-23 board exams to be conducted once annually. Subject-wise syllabus for classes 10 and 12 released at cbseacademic.nic.in.

CBSE Syllabus 2022-23: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in an official notification dated April 21 has said that it will return to one Board exam pattern from the next academic session. "Considering the feedback of stakeholders and other prevailing conditions, the Board will conduct the annual scheme of assessment at the end of the Academic Session 2022-23 and the curriculum has been designed accordingly," read the official CBSE circular.

The Board has released the CBSE Syllabus 2022-23 Class 10, 12 on its official website for all the subjects. The CBSE syllabus 2022-23 has been made available in the form of PDF files. Students can check the subject-wise syllabus for classes 10 and 12 at cbseacademic.nic.in.

The notification also stated that It is important for the schools to ensure curriculum transaction as per the directions given in the initial pages of the curriculum document. The subjects should be taught as per the curriculum released by the Board with the help of suitable teaching-learning strategies such as Art-Integrated Education, Experiential Learning, and Pedagogical Plans etc. wherever possible. It futher reads that the Sample Question Papers with detailed design of the Question Paper will be made available on CBSE’s website in due course of time.

CBSE offers 114 subjects in Class 12 and 75 subjects in Class 10. In total, it conducts exams for 189 subjects. 

Meanwhile, the CBSE Class 10 exams are scheduled to begin from April 26 and conclude on May 24, while Class 12 exams will be conducted from April 26 to June 15, 2022.

It was only in 2021-22 session that the Board had decided to split the academic session into two terms- Term 1 and 2 in view of the pravailing circumstances due to COVID-19.
