CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship 2021 registration begins; Know where & how to apply

The Board has commenced the process of the online application process from December 27. Candidates interested in availing of CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship 2021 can apply online on the official website- cbse.gov.in.

CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship 2021: Schools have received directions from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to process the online application of single girl child scholarship for their students according to the guidelines issued for this scheme. The Board has commenced the process of the online application process from December 27. Candidates interested in availing of CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship 2021 can apply online on the official website- cbse.gov.in. The last date to apply for CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship 2021 is until January 17.

Schools have received directions to verify the CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship 2021 online application from December 31 to January 25, 2022. CBSE notification said, "The candidates may apply online for the single girl child scholarship and the schools will be required to verify the application forms of the students of their school.”

Eligibility Criteria for CBSE Scholarship Scheme

All single girl students with 60 per cent or more marks in CBSE Class 10 examination and are studying Classes 11 and 12 in schools affiliated with CBSE whose tuition fee is not more than 1,500 INR per month during the academic year, shall be considered for the purpose. Only Indian Nationals would be eligible for the CBSE scholarship.

The official statement reads, “The scheme is aimed to recognize the efforts of the parents in promoting education among girls and to provide encouragement to meritorious students.”

How to apply for CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship 2021?

Candidates may follow the steps mentioned below to submit application forms. Class 10 roll number and date of birth will be required as login credentials:

• Open the official website of CBSE, i.e. cbse.nic.in
• On the homepage, go to the notification section
• Under the notification section, click on ‘Single girl child scholarship X-2021 REG’
• Click on the application link
• The link will be directed to a new webpage
• Select the type of application -- fresh or renewal
• Read the instructions carefully. Now click on SGC-X fresh application or renewal
• Fill the application form, upload documents and submit
• Take a printout of the application form for future reference
