Chandigarh Class 11 Admissions 2022: The school education department of Chandigarh has decided to give another chance to deposit fees to candidates who could not pay the fee due to server issues after being offered seats in the second counselling for Class 11 admission at government schools.
Over 150 students offered seats in second counselling
The department on September 27 informed that it had noted that more than 150 students who were offered seats in the second counselling had tried to make payment of fee, but could not do so due to server issues as the log shows that payment was rejected repeatedly.
The decision to give another chance to such students has been taken to give fair chance of admission to all the candidates.
“Today we received requests from such parents, therefore to give the applications who were offered seats in the second counselling a fair chance to pay the fee, the fee portal has been opened again for all students who were offered seats but could not pay the fee for any reason during the second counselling,” an official statement read.
The students were advised by the department to pay the fee by 4 pm on September 28. Earlier, the last date to secure admission after the second counselling round was September 23
Thereafter, the department will conduct the third round of counselling to fill vacant seats. Students with compartments were not allowed for fresh registrations. The official said that while those who had compartments and had not applied for admission have not been allowed to register afresh for the counselling, they are likely to be adjusted if any vacant seats are left. The department is also likely to hold third counselling round if seats remain vacant.
