Chandigarh University gets NBA accreditation for engineering, MBA programmes

NBA Accreditation would validate the quality standards of the Engineering and MBA courses and give students an edge over others in the job market. 

Chandigarh University becomes the first varsity in India to have both NAAC A+ and National Board of Accreditation (NBA) for all its Engineering and MBA programmes, CU claimed in a statement. From validating quality standards of the Engineering and MBA courses to giving the students an edge over others in the job market as potential employers accord more value to degrees from NBA-accredited programmes, the accreditation would be beneficial in various aspects for both universities as well as students.

Chandigarh University NBA Accreditation Benefits

The official statement said that with NBA's membership of the Washington Accord, courses offered by Chandigarh University would be on par with courses in many western countries. The engineering and MBA students of Chandigarh University would be eligible to practice in or go for higher education to other countries signatory to the Washington Accord. This will ease the mobility of Engineering graduates and MBA professionals at the international level.

Expressing views over NBA accreditation, Satnam Singh Sandhu, Chancellor of Chandigarh University, said, "It fills me with pride to note that Chandigarh University has become the only university in the entire country to have NAAC A+ accreditation and NBA accreditation. The fact that the varsity has achieved this feat in less than ten years of its establishment highlights the efforts put in by our faculty members, students and alumni.”
