Haryana government will be spending a total of 560 crore INR to buy tablets for all Class 11 and 12 students across the state.
Students of Haryana will soon get a tablet from the state government. Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar in his recent statement said that Class 11 and 12 students across the state will soon receive tablets for free. According to NDTV, the government has announced its decision to purchase five lakh tablets. Class 11 and 12 students will receive these tablets in the upcoming academic session.
The minister informed that the government will be spending a total of 560 crore INR to buy these tablets. The government is also making future plans of distributing tablets among the students of other classes as well. Khattar further informed that the government is also thinking of the welfare of farmers. 15,000 tubewell connections will be issued to the farmers soon.
Meanwhile, the Haryana government has also announced its decision to commence offline classes on schools for all students. The department has given nod to the schools to reopen with 100% capacity for all classes. Various reports suggest that schools are mulling to begin from December 1, 2021. The decision has been taken amid the declining numbers of COVID-19 cases and an increase in vaccination rates. While the schools have received the permission to operate with 100% capacity of students, the final decision has been left on them to execute the plan following all COVID-19 precautionary and protocols.
In order to do so, schools have been asked to chalk out a plan before the commencement of offline classes. The functioning of schools will be done adhering to COVID-19 protocols. Using sanitizers, wearing masks and following social distancing will be a must.
