With CLAT 2022 only a week away, the Consortium is regularly updating the test-takers with changes in the exam centres, and other important instructions. The Consortium is notifying changes in name or location of CLAT exam centres 2022. 

CLAT 2022 notification regarding Kolkata test centre change

According to the latest notification released on June 10, the name for a Kolkata test centre has been changed from University of Engineering & Management to Institute of Engineering and Management. Now, the candidates who have been allotted this exam centre for Kolkata test city need to download an updated CLAT 2022 admit card. The notification stated, “The Candidates appearing for CLAT-2022 allotted a test centre at University of Engineering & Management, Kolkatta please note the change in the test centre name. The new test centre name is Institute of Engineering and Management. The address of the test centre remains the same.

CLAT 2022 notification regarding PWD/ SAP candidates

In another notification released on June 11, the Consortium has shared instructions for Specially Abled Persons/ Persons with Disabilities (SAP/PWD) candidates. The notification carries the instructions for SAP/ PwD candidates as under, “The facility of Scribe/Reader is allowed to any person with benchmark disability, as defined under section 2(r) of the RPwD Act, 2016 and who has a limitation in writing including that of speed, if so desired by them. In the case of persons with benchmark disabilities in the category of blindness, locomotor disability (both arm affected-BA) and cerebral palsy, the facility of scribe/reader is allowed if so desired by the person. In case of any another category of persons with benchmark disabilities, the provision of scribe/reader/ can be allowed on production of a certificate to the effect that the person concerned has physical limitation to write, and scribe is essential to write examination on his/her behalf, from the Chief Medical Officer/Civil Surgeon/ Medical Superintendent of a Government health care institution as per proforma at Appendix-I

All candidates belonging to the category of Specially abled persons (SAP/PWD) are duly informed that candidates will have to arrange for their own Scribe at their own cost and inform the Regional Coordinator with a copy to the Zonal Coordinator of the Centre chosen by them by June 15, 2022

The qualification of the scribe should be one step below the qualification of the candidate taking the examination. All candidates using a scribe should submit details of their scribe as per proforma at APPENDIX-II

Specially abled persons (SAP/PWD) candidates are entitled to extra time of 40 Minutes for two hours duration of examination. The total time given to SAP/PWD candidates will be 2 hours and 40 minutes

SAP/PWD candidates should carry their Disability Certificate along with him / her to the Test Centre on the day of the Exam. 

The SAP / PWD Candidates should mail / courier the Disability Certificate to reach the respective Regional Coordinator / Zonal Coordinator on or before by June 15, 2022, without fail. The Candidates should also carry the Disability Certificate along with them in original to the Test Centre on the day of the Exam.” 

Therefore, candidates who belong to this category need to send the appendix-I, and appendix-II as certification for limitation to write the examination, and undertaking for Scribe facility respectively. These documents should be deposited to the regional/ zonal coordinator as designated for each region.
