In May, Delhi University as part of the centenary celebration announced that those who dropped out of college in the final year can register for a one-time chance to appear in examinations and complete their degree.
DU Exams 2022: Delhi University has extended the deadline for registration for the centenary chance examination. Now, final-year drop-outs students will be allowed to complete the registration process until June 24. Earlier, the last date of registration was June 15.
In May, Delhi University as part of the centenary celebration announced that those who dropped out of college in the final year can register for a one-time chance to appear in examinations and complete their degree. "The last date for registration for Centenary Chance Examination is extended up to 24.06.2022 (Friday) by 5:30 pm," Dean of Examination DS Rawat said in a statement.
The university had stated that "eligible candidates can appear for a maximum of four papers in the annual mode and up to eight papers for semester-wise tests. This one-time chance has been given to drop-out students in view of the Delhi University's year-long centenary celebrations starting May 1".
Delhi University has also notified the faculties, departments, colleges and centres to complete the confirmation and verification of registration forms filled by such students by June 27, 2022.
On January 28, the proposal to give one more chance to drop out students was approved by the special Executive Council. The council had met to discuss the centenary celebrations of the university.
The guidelines issued by Registrar Vikas Gupta stated βThe undergraduate and postgraduate students who have completed their course work and statutory requirement prescribed for completion of the course and have Essential Repeat (ER)/failed as per the final year marksheet (ER can be in any semester/year), shall be considered for this centenary chance, subject to permissibility of their regulatory body governing the respective professional courses."
