The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay conducts the National Education Day every year on November 11, 2020, to commemorate the birth anniversary of Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad who was the first education minister of India.
Union Education Minister Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank inaugurated the National Education Day programme conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay today, i.e on November 10, 2020. According to the notification released by the Institute, the inauguration took place as scheduled that is today at 11 AM. A link to the inauguration is available on the official Twitter handle of the union education minister. Considering the ongoing pandemic situation, the inauguration was conducted in the online mode with Dr. K Kasturirangan, former ISRO chairman and the committee for drafting the New Education Policy who was also present at the event. While speaking at the inauguration ceremony, the Education Minister talked about the implementation process of the National Education Policy 2020. The inaugural session focused on the reforms in the newly introduced National Education Policy.
IIT Bombay National Education Day Celebration
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay conducts the National Education Day every year on November 11, 2020, to commemorate the birth anniversary of Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad who was the first education minister of India. Considering the reputed occasion, IIT Bombay has also announced an online semester for the first-year undergraduate students on November 4, 2020, and the institute is all set to begin the orientation process for the new batch tomorrow, i.e. November 11, 2020. Students must note that the classes for the same will commence on November 16, 2020. As the classes will be conducted online, the institute will provide all the necessities to the students for attending the online classes.
