Hala Mobility, a startup incubated at T-hub under the lab32 project cohort 6, unveiled its user application for customers to book their rides, rentals, charging stations, or service booking. Founded by Srikanth Reddy, Hala Mobility is a 100 per cent electric ride-sharing platform which solves last-mile connectivity problems. These e-scooters are equipped with smart batteries, Bluetooth connectivity and GPS, making it easy to unlock the vehicle via cellphone.

The company is likely to launch the service for everyone on the IIIT Hyderabad campus by this month. They can benefit from the e-bike free of cost for the next three months. Hala will also deploy a few charging stations within the IIIT Hyderabad campus.
Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary to ITE&C Department, launched the application. At the launch, Hala also showcased its inhouse made keyless smart app. Ranjan said, “It is interesting that Hala decided to extend services to EVs irrespective of the brand they are associated with.” The company also demonstrated how they are also using artificial intelligence and machine learning to quickly approve the user by taking a selfie, Aadhaar and driving licence, the release said.

Srikanth Reddy, Founder and CEO, Hala, said “At Hala, we are building an ecosystem of electric mobility. Our proprietary AI/ML-enabled tech stack helped us scale up in our B2B landscape and now we want to leverage it to our customers and create an infrastructure that improves the adaption and penetration of electric vehicles. We are planning to deploy 15,000 scooters in the next 12 months and will mark our presence in six cities.”
