Jadavpur University Student's Death: Arrested students reportedly misleading investigation

In the Jadavpur University's student death case, the investigation is going on in full swing. The police have arrested around 13 people so far.

As per reports, the accused are diverting investigation by sharing “similar type of narratives in a particular pattern which appears to have been tutored”, the public prosecutor said in court on Saturday, as reported by Telegraph India.

“They are changing their versions every minute. There is a pattern in which all of them are speaking. It appears that all this has been decided during the general body meetings they held inside the hostel immediately after the death of the 17-year-old,” said an officer.

So the police have decided to, "change our strategy and talk to them separately as they are parroting each other. For that reason, we have kept them separately."

The first-year student of the university had died after falling from the hostel building.
