KUHS Exams 2021: The Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS) commenced its semester exams from June 21 onwards. The details regarding the commencement of the exams are published on the official website of KUHS. Considering the ongoing pandemic situation, the varsity clearly stated that all students appearing for the exams must undergo an antigen test and produce COVID negative certificate. Students testing positive for COVID-19 are being given a separate examination hall to appear for the exams. The varsity also stated that two-meter distance will be maintained while arranging seats in the exam hall. The arrangement of the exams were reviewed during a meeting chaired by health minister Veena George.
KUHS also informed that classes for the final year students will commence on July 1. Later, the varsity will begin other classes after examining the situation. The university decided to conduct theory classes online even after reopening the colleges. Only practical and clinical classes will commence on July 1. Students will to take hostel facility must undergo the COVID test before checking in. Hostellers and day scholars are restricted from interacting.
KUHS also stated that COVID positive students will be allowed to appear for theory exams, they will not be permitted for the practical exams. Those who tested positive should inform their health status to the college principal after 17 days. The varsity will conduct special practical exams for them. If any examination centre is in containment zones, the matter should be informed to the university. The government will grant special permission to these institutes to conduct exams. Students who are in the containment zone are also permitted to travel for appearing in the exams. If public transport is not available, the colleges should arrange a vehicle facility for students.
