Kurukshetra University launches 'COVID support scheme' for students affected by COVID-19

We have started a 'Covid Support Scheme' for the on-campus KU students in the academic session 2021-22, under which a provision has been made for fee exemption to the students, Kurukshetra University Vice-Chancellor said.

Kurukshetra University has come forward to help those KU students who have lost one or both parents due to the global pandemic of COVID-19. While speaking on the same, KU Vice-Chancellor Professor Som Nath Sachdeva said, "We have started a 'Covid Support Scheme' for the on-campus KU students in the academic session 2021-22, under which a provision has been made for fee exemption to the students."

KU Dean academic affairs Professor Manjula Chaudhary said that the students of Haryana, who had lost their parents due to the global pandemic, will be given exemption in fees if they get admission to the Kurukshetra University campus in the session 2021-22. She said on getting admission in budgeted courses, the full exemption would be given in tuition fees and funds of such students.

Meanwhile, Kurukshetra University has released the Kurukshetra University third merit list 2021 on September 16, 2021. The second admission list 2021-22 was released on September 13, 2021. The last date to apply for the various programms offered at KU was August 31, 2021. However, the university calls the 'Admission Open' for the vacant seats in some of the programmes.

While admission to most UG and PG programmes is merit-based, KUK admission to entrance-based programmes is done through the Haryana State Technical Education Society (HSTES)KUK admission 2021 forms were available on the official admission portal of Kurukshetra University. 

Kurukshetra University was established in 1956 by late Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the first President of India. Initially known as Sanskrit University, KUK has been accredited with an A+ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
